We have a Pancake Friday tradition in our house: we have pancakes every Friday morning now and we all love it!
We use Kodiak Cakes mix (this isn’t a sponsored post, even though I wish it were!), which I love because it has more protein than the typical pancake mix we used when I was growing up. I actually feel full after a breakfast with Kodiak pancakes and don’t feel like I loaded up on an unhealthy meal either.
If you haven’t tried Kodiak yet, I definitely reccomend you give it a try next time you make pancakes or waffles! We buy them in bulk now at Costco!
I thought it would be fun to share some of our favorite ways to serve Kodiak pancakes in our house, to give you some ideas for your next pancake breakfast. 🙂
Here are our favorite Kodiak pancakes ideas:
Pancake Batter Ingredients:
(we usually x3 this recipe to give us enough for our family of 5 + a bit of leftovers)
- 1 cup Kodiak Cake mix
- 1 organic cage-free egg
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
Pancake Mix-In Ideas:
- diced apple & cinnamon
- sliced banana
- dark chocolate chips
- blueberries
Pancake Topping Ideas:
- Classic butter (we love Kerrygold brand) and pure maple syrup
- natural peanut butter and pure maple syrup (try this with dark chocolate chip pancakes. 🙂 )
- fresh fruit
[We also love having smoothies for breakfast and oatmeal. Check out the posts HERE for favorite smoothie recipes and our favorite oatmeal recipe HERE.]
