I did a post a couple years ago sharing a few of my favorite healthy Trader Joe’s items, but thought it was time for an update! Plus, as we’re eating more plant-based I thought I’d share a Trader Joe’s grocery haul with our favorite healthy plant-based items!
Also, there are a lot of really fun products at TJs, which I love seasonally. You can see all of my favorite Trader Joe’s items posts HERE, like fall favorites, freezer staples, winter goodies, cheese board items & more fun posts!
So, with my Certified Holistic Nutritionist student hat on, here are 30 of my favorite healthy, real-ingredient plant-based items at Trader Joe’s. 🙂 Do you have any others to add to the list? Comment below so I can try them too! 🙂
Red Split Lentils
I use these a lot when making one of our favorite dinners: Cauliflower Curry from A Pinch of Yum. It’s such a delicious veggie-filled dinner. My kids love it too!
This is a bell pepper tomato almond dip that is so so good, especially on sandwiches and on top of scrambled eggs, or on pasta.
Brown Jasmine Rice
I always stock up on this to make my Fluffy Brown Jasmine Rice in the Instant Pot. It’s perfect for curries, burrito bowls, a breakfast scramble.
Organic Coconut Milk
I stock up on this every time I make a TJ’s trip because it’s one of the only coconut milk brands I’ve found that’s guar-gum free. Perfect for rice, veggie curries and soups.
Brown Rice Quinoa Fusilli Pasta
This is our go-to pasta. It’s gluten free and tastes good! We love it topped with roasted veggies and pesto, or veggie marinara sauce.
Vegal Kale Cashew & Basil Pesto
If you like kale, this is a really good pesto. My kids love it too, on pasta, veggies, sandwiches.
I think every TJs shopper has heard of or seen or tried these. 🙂 We love them for a super quick and hands-off dinner.
Quick dinner idea: (Don’t follow the cooking directions on the bag; they turn out too mushy;) Instead: Defrost them for 1-2 minutes, then bake these and the Kale Gnocchi 12 minutes at 425 degrees, then top with pesto. Or top with marinara and mozzarella and broil until cheese is melted.
Cauliflower Pizza Crust
A really delicious pizza crust alternative. Go into it knowing it won’t taste like a fluffy bread-like pizza. I really love it topped with pesto, veggies and a little goat cheese. HERE are a bunch of our favorite pizza toppings ideas.
Corn & Wheat Tortillas
I love these because sometimes corn tortillas can taste a little dry to me, but these aren’t. Great for tacos, enchiladas or my favorite 15-minute fajitas.
This is a great fridge staple! It’s a good alternative to soy sauce or teriyaki sauce. I like to add it to my favorite Cauliflower Fried Rice and other Asian-inspired recipes.

These are great to keep in the freezer for quick dinners. Add them to brown rice, coconut milk and curry; or brown rice, veggie potstickers; or Cauliflower Fried Rice.
Quick dinner idea: Heat them up with a curry sauce and brown rice. Curry sauce can be as simple as 1 can of coconut milk, 1 can of diced tomatoes and yellow curry powder.

I love that these are unsweetened. They’re good in smoothies. And acai is high in antioxidants and fiber!
Thai Vegetable Gyoza
These gyozas are a good freezer staple. They’re delicious with brown rice and veggies with a little coconut aminos or teriyaki sauce.
If you like kale, these gnocchi are really good. I like the texture of them a little better than the Cauliflower Gnocchi. They’re great with marinara or pesto.
These are good to have on hand for a quick meal. Add them to a salad, bowl, as a side to roasted veggies. Lentils are high in protein and fiber.
