
I did a post a couple years ago sharing a few of my favorite healthy Trader Joe’s items, but thought it was time for an update! Plus, as we’re eating more plant-based I thought I’d share a Trader Joe’s grocery haul with our favorite healthy plant-based items!

So, with my Certified Holistic Nutritionist student hat on, here are 30 of my favorite healthy, real-ingredient plant-based items at Trader Joe’s. 🙂 Do you have any others to add to the list? Comment below so I can try them too! 🙂
Red Split Lentils
I use these a lot when making one of our favorite dinners: Cauliflower Curry from A Pinch of Yum. It’s such a delicious veggie-filled dinner. My kids love it too! Find this in the dried pastas/rices/grains section.

Romesco Dip
This is a bell pepper tomato almond dip that is so so good, especially on sandwiches and on top of scrambled eggs, or on pasta. Find this in the refrigerated dip section.

Organic Tahini
I love keeping this around to make these delicious Tahini Brownies from Ambitious Kitchen, for a salad dressing, or this cumin roasted carrot recipe from Oh She Glows. It’s so versatile and a great pantry staple. Find this in the canned goods section.

Brown Jasmine Rice
I always stock up on this to make my Fluffy Brown Jasmine Rice in the Instant Pot. It’s perfect for curries, burrito bowls, a breakfast scramble. Find this in the dried pasta/rice section.

Organic Coconut Milk
I stock up on this every time I make a TJ’s trip because it’s one of the only coconut milk brands I’ve found that’s guar-gum free. Perfect for rice, veggie curries and soups. Find this in the canned goods section, near other Asian-inspired items.

Brown Rice Quinoa Fusilli Pasta
This is our go-to pasta. It’s gluten free and tastes good! We love it topped with roasted veggies and pesto, or veggie marinara sauce. Find this with other dried pastas.

Vegan Kale Cashew & Basil Pesto
If you like kale, this is a really good pesto. My kids love it too, on pasta, veggies, sandwiches. Find this in the refrigerated dip section.

Cauliflower Gnocchi
I think every TJs shopper has heard of or seen or tried these. 🙂 We love them for a super quick and hands-off dinner. Find this in the freezer section.
Quick dinner idea: (Don’t follow the cooking directions on the bag; they turn out too mushy;) Instead: Defrost them for 1-2 minutes, then bake these and the Kale Gnocchi 12 minutes at 425 degrees, then top with pesto. Cauliflower Pizza Crust
A really delicious pizza crust alternative. Go into it knowing it won’t taste like a fluffy bread-like pizza. I really love it topped with pesto, veggies and a little goat cheese. HERE are a bunch of our favorite pizza toppings ideas. Find this in the freezer section, near the pizzas.

Corn & Wheat Tortillas
I love these because sometimes corn tortillas can taste a little dry to me, but these aren’t. Great for tacos, enchiladas or my favorite 15-minute fajitas. Find these near the breads and other tortillas.

Coconut Aminos
This is a great fridge staple! It’s a good alternative to soy sauce or teriyaki sauce. I like to add it to my favorite Cauliflower Fried Rice and other Asian-inspired recipes. Find this on the shelves above the frozen items or near the sauces in the canned goods/pastas/baking goods section.

10-Minute Farro
Farro has a nutty flavor and chewy texture and is really good in a Greek or Mediterranean salad. Plus, this cooks in just 10 minutes so it’s good for a quick meal. Find this near the dried pastas and rice.

Plantain Chips
A good snack if you’re craving chips. These are really good dipped in mashed avocado or guac. Also good with a taco salad or burrito bowl. Find this near the chips.

Stir-Fry Vegetables
These are great to keep in the freezer for quick dinners. Add them to brown rice, coconut milk and curry; or brown rice, veggie potstickers; or Cauliflower Fried Rice. Find this in the freezer section.
Quick dinner idea: Heat them up with a curry sauce and brown rice. Curry sauce can be as simple as 1 can of coconut milk, 1 can of diced tomatoes and yellow curry powder. Download 5 easy Trader Joe’s dinners HERE to grab the easy recipe!

Acai Puree Packets
I love that these are unsweetened. They’re good in smoothies. And acai is high in antioxidants and fiber! Find this in the freezer section, near other frozen fruit.

Thai Vegetable Gyoza
These gyozas are a good freezer staple. They’re delicious with brown rice and veggies with a little coconut aminos or teriyaki sauce. Find these in the freezer section.

Kale Gnocchi
If you like kale, these gnocchi are really good. I like the texture of them a little better than the Cauliflower Gnocchi. They’re great with marinara or pesto. Find these in the freezer section.

Steamed Lentils
These are good to have on hand for a quick meal. Add them to a salad, bowl, as a side to roasted veggies. Lentils are high in protein and fiber. Find these in the refrigerated section.

Shelled Edamame
These are really good as a snack, boiled for 4 minutes then drained and sprinkled with salt. Or in Cauliflower Fried Rice or Gimme Some Oven’s Crunchy Asian Ramen Noodle Salad. Find this in the freezer section.

Bananas
I always always grab a bunch of bananas when I go to TJs because they’re only 19 cents each! Such a good deal. Find these in the produce section.

Butternut Squash Zig-Zags
These are fun pre-cut butternut squash. They’re delicious roasted with salt and pepper as a side to any dinner. Find these in the refrigerated veggie section near the bagged salads.

Avocado’s Number Guacamole to Go
These are perfect size to keep for topping tacos, burrito bowls, etc. or for dipping plantain chips. Find this in the refrigerated dip section.

Garlic Chipotle Salsa
I like the smokey flavor in this salsa and the ingredient list is pronounceable! It’s not too spicy so my girls like it too. Find this in the jarred salsa section, near the chips.

Sweet Potato Frites
These are so good! We love making our Loaded Sweet Potato Fries with corn, black beans, tomatoes, black olives and topped with guac & plain yogurt. It’s one of our family’s favorite dinners! Find these in the freezer section.

Super Sweet Cut White Corn
These really are super sweet and good to add to burrito bowls, or any recipe that calls for corn. Find these in the frozen section—a freezer staple!

Fully Cooked Falafel
These are tasty and good for a quick lunch. Try my Falafel Salad recipe. 🙂 Find these in the frozen section.

Zhoug Sauce
This is a spicy cilantro sauce that’s good on eggs and sandwiches. Find this in the refrigerated dip section.

Carrot Spirals
These are a good veggie alternative to pasta. I love how the carrots keep their shape a little better than zucchini noodles. They’re also really good with a veggie marinara. Find them in the freezer section.

Just Mango Slices
I love that these are unsweetened and a good snack, especially with raw almonds or cashews. Find these in the dried fruit and nuts section.

Dried Apricots
I love that these are unsweetened, but super sweet. Perfect in a homemade trail mix or a cheese plate. Find these in the dried fruit and nuts section.

Les Petites Carrots of Many Colors
My girls love the colors of these carrots, so they love eating them! They’re good raw, or roasted with a little cumin. Find these in the refrigerated section, near the bagged salads.

3 Seed Sweet Potato Crackers
These are tasty and a good healthier cracker option. I love that they’re made with sweet potatoes, plus flax, chia and sesame seeds. Find these on the shelves above the frozen items.
