I did a post a couple years ago sharing a few of my favorite healthy Trader Joe’s items, but thought it was time for an update! Plus, as we’re eating more plant-based I thought I’d share a Trader Joe’s grocery haul with our favorite healthy plant-based items!

Also, there are a lot of really fun products at TJs, which I love seasonally. You can see all of my favorite Trader Joe’s items posts HERE, like fall favorites, freezer staples, winter goodies, cheese board items & more fun posts!

So, with my Certified Holistic Nutritionist student hat on, here are 30 of my favorite healthy, real-ingredient plant-based items at Trader Joe’s. 🙂 Do you have any others to add to the list? Comment below so I can try them too! 🙂

Red Split Lentils

I use these a lot when making one of our favorite dinners: Cauliflower Curry from A Pinch of Yum. It’s such a delicious veggie-filled dinner. My kids love it too!

Romesco Dip

This is a bell pepper tomato almond dip that is so so good, especially on sandwiches and on top of scrambled eggs, or on pasta.

TJs Staple Items: Trader Joe's Organic Tahini

Organic Tahini

I love keeping this around to make these delicious Tahini Brownies from Ambitious Kitchen, for a salad dressing, or this cumin roasted carrot recipe from Oh She Glows. It’s so versatile and a great pantry staple.

TJs Staple Items: Trader Joe's Brown Jasmine Rice

Brown Jasmine Rice

I always stock up on this to make my Fluffy Brown Jasmine Rice in the Instant Pot. It’s perfect for curries, burrito bowls, a breakfast scramble.

TJs Staple Items: Trader Joe's Organic Coconut Milk

Organic Coconut Milk

I stock up on this every time I make a TJ’s trip because it’s one of the only coconut milk brands I’ve found that’s guar-gum free. Perfect for rice, veggie curries and soups.

TJs Staple Items: Trader Joe's Organic Brown Rice & Quinoa Fusilli Pasta

Brown Rice Quinoa Fusilli Pasta

This is our go-to pasta. It’s gluten free and tastes good! We love it topped with roasted veggies and pesto, or veggie marinara sauce.

TJs Staples: Trader Joe's Vegan Kale Cashew Basil Pesto

Vegal Kale Cashew & Basil Pesto

If you like kale, this is a really good pesto. My kids love it too, on pasta, veggies, sandwiches.

TJs Staples: Trader Joe's Cauliflower Gnocchi. FivePlates.com

Cauliflower Gnocchi

I think every TJs shopper has heard of or seen or tried these. 🙂 We love them for a super quick and hands-off dinner.

Quick dinner idea: (Don’t follow the cooking directions on the bag; they turn out too mushy;) Instead: Defrost them for 1-2 minutes, then bake these and the Kale Gnocchi 12 minutes at 425 degrees, then top with pesto. Or top with marinara and mozzarella and broil until cheese is melted.

TJs Staples: Trader Joe's Cauliflower Pizza Crust. FivePlates.com

Cauliflower Pizza Crust

A really delicious pizza crust alternative. Go into it knowing it won’t taste like a fluffy bread-like pizza. I really love it topped with pesto, veggies and a little goat cheese. HERE are a bunch of our favorite pizza toppings ideas.

Corn & Wheat Tortillas

I love these because sometimes corn tortillas can taste a little dry to me, but these aren’t. Great for tacos, enchiladas or my favorite 15-minute fajitas.

Coconut Aminos

This is a great fridge staple! It’s a good alternative to soy sauce or teriyaki sauce. I like to add it to my favorite Cauliflower Fried Rice and other Asian-inspired recipes.

10-Minute Farro

Farro has a nutty flavor and chewy texture and is really good in a Greek or Mediterranean salad. Plus, this cooks in just 10 minutes so it’s good for a quick meal.

Plantain Chips

A good snack if you’re craving chips. These are really good dipped in mashed avocado or guac. Also good with a taco salad or burrito bowl.

Stir-Fry Vegetables

These are great to keep in the freezer for quick dinners. Add them to brown rice, coconut milk and curry; or brown rice, veggie potstickers; or Cauliflower Fried Rice.

Quick dinner idea: Heat them up with a curry sauce and brown rice. Curry sauce can be as simple as 1 can of coconut milk, 1 can of diced tomatoes and yellow curry powder.

Acai Puree Packets

I love that these are unsweetened. They’re good in smoothies. And acai is high in antioxidants and fiber!

Thai Vegetable Gyoza

These gyozas are a good freezer staple. They’re delicious with brown rice and veggies with a little coconut aminos or teriyaki sauce.

Kale Gnocchi

If you like kale, these gnocchi are really good. I like the texture of them a little better than the Cauliflower Gnocchi. They’re great with marinara or pesto.

Steamed Lentils

These are good to have on hand for a quick meal. Add them to a salad, bowl, as a side to roasted veggies. Lentils are high in protein and fiber.

Shelled Edamame

These are really good as a snack, boiled for 4 minutes then drained and sprinkled with salt. Or in Cauliflower Fried Rice or Gimme Some Oven’s Crunchy Asian Ramen Noodle Salad.

Bananas

I always always grab a bunch of bananas when I go to TJs because they’re only 19 cents each! Such a good deal.

Butternut Squash Zig-Zags

These are fun pre-cut butternut squash. They’re delicious roasted with salt and pepper as a side to any dinner.

Avocado’s Number Guacamole to Go

These are perfect size to keep for topping tacos, burrito bowls, etc. or for dipping plantain chips.

Garlic Chipotle Salsa

I like the smokey flavor in this salsa and the ingredient list is pronounceable! It’s not too spicy so my girls like it too.

Sweet Potato Frites

These are so good! We love making our Loaded Sweet Potato Fries with corn, black beans, tomatoes, black olives and topped with guac & plain yogurt. It’s one of our family’s favorite dinners!

Super Sweet Cut White Corn

These really are super sweet and good to add to burrito bowls, or any recipe that calls for corn.

Fully Cooked Falafel

These are tasty and good for a quick lunch. Try my Falafel Salad recipe. 🙂

Zhoug Sauce

This is a spicy cilantro sauce that’s good on eggs and sandwiches.

Carrot Spirals

These are a good veggie alternative to pasta. I love how the carrots keep their shape a little better than zucchini noodles. They’re also really good with a veggie marinara.

Just Mango Slices

I love that these are unsweetened and a good snack, especially with raw almonds or cashews.

Dried Apricots

I love that these are unsweetened, but super sweet. Perfect in a homemade trail mix or a cheese plate.

Les Petites Carrots of Many Colors

My girls love the colors of these carrots, so they love eating them! They’re good raw, or roasted with a little cumin.

3 Seed Sweet Potato Crackers

These are tasty and a good healthier cracker option. I love that they’re made with sweet potatoes, plus flax, chia and sesame seeds.
